3.Use of Smart Metering Technologies and Continuous Data Utilization in the Entity's Buildings

In the Member States of the European Union, smart meters for electricity consumption have started to be installed on new connections, but also in the replacement of old meters, in a new pilot programme for the installation of meters in various regions of the country. Smart meters replace conventional meters and give consumers the opportunity to have a real-time picture of their consumption.

The use of data from smart meters and metering systems that may be installed in the Entity’s buildings in combination with the total energy consumptions, as they appear in the energy bills, gives the Entity enough information to evaluate the efficiency of energy use in its buildings and to make the right decisions regarding the actions for its improvement.

Critical sub-parameters are the level at which the energy consumption data of the Entity’s buildings are recorded and processed, the level of use in relation to the Energy Management Systems (BMS, EMS, BEMS) and the smart meters and finally, its capabilities are examined. staff of the Entity for dealing with modern BEM systems and data processing systems in buildings.
